So: I know that it's a wrong post to write something like tis, but i felt like that to say it here. If there is a theoretical explanation of the word fan of some artist, i would take a side of great denial, but i'm a great admirer of your work, especially with ISIS, as a band that has penetrated through teared of musical conceptions and established new form of performing and listening music. So, as someone would probably say that he's sorry for dissmembering of isis, i coucd not say souch words because i'm glad that some form of art like isis ever was. I'm writing this post because i felt a strong connection between the Mamiffer and european expressionism, it just fits perfectly one with other.
If there is something in my art that i shold be thankful for, i should thank you for being a inspiration for me.

On HOLC "Poisoned Soil"
by n0b0dy, 3rd of February 2012

The real music is somehow like unpronounced poetry. There's a lot of things in this world we can't describe with words. It's always connected with spiritual part of our life, it's always about the other side, where gods and ghosts live. Thousands years ago we were trying to visualize giant gods and heroes in sculpture. Now sculpture is nearly dead as art. It's nearly useless as instrument to describe what we feel, but can't pronounce. Same happend with painting and photography, we went all the way through. We came to cinematograph and we're still studying it's capabilities. Only the music was always there, from the very beginning of mankind. The main instrument to describe indescribable.

That's what Aaron Turner with his solo project House of Low Culture have perfectly done with his "Poisoned Soil". It's like the John Milton's "Paradise Lost" in classical poetry. It's a trip which begins as comfort and calmness at clear and transparent world. Then we stumble and get up on a path, where peace is our unreachable dream. Naked and poisoned with anger we left the Kingdom and begun to climb the Ladder. The higher we climbed the more horrendous things surrounded us. What has to be the top turned out to be the bottom. The light and shining we were climbing for turned out to be the obscurity of the darkness. We turned our eyes on our Inappropriate Bodies and find out we're strong and unbeatable. We turned our anger into courage and began the final battle. That's where we are now as mankind and that's where the music has ended. Anyway, it's an indescribable trip and the story told in "Poisoned Soil" is thousand miles wider. It's easier to write new music, than to truly describe what Aaron Turner made.

P.S. And sorry about my english, I know it's not good. I just hope you understood what I've been talking about.

Hey, Aaron. Quick question for you. Will the Locrian/Mamiffer collab. album be available via the Feral Pig webstore? Or will I have to order it from Profound Lore. For some reason the Profound Lore website does not work for me.

Hey, Aaron will there be a preorder for the CD version of the Mamiffer & locrian record? On CD format.

Hey I just got a copy of this and it appears to be different than the version displayed? Is there different album art for this and the one I have? Mine has a think black cardboard sleeve with an insert, whereas the one you're holding up is a foldout sleve. Whats up with that?

The picture up top in this post is the cover of the Pharaoh Overlord 2xLP. The picture on the bottom is the inside spread of the Mamiffer & Locrian 2xLP sleeve. Hopefully that clears up this little mystery...
